It was a pleasure to do the Agilista PM Webinar on Effective Specifications for Agile Teams today. This is the first time I did a webinar, so I’m sorry if it was a bit rough, but I hope you enjoyed it. Here are the links and slides.

Is there a mailing list set up to discuss acceptance testing?
Hi Gojko, I couldn’t assit to the webinar but I’ve just ended watching it.
I’ve been reading you for a while now.
It was a great webinar and I think quite usefull for people like me who are entering this agile world or trying to change the way their proyects are driven.
The mind map is a fabulous idea that I will try to apply shortly to my own proyects. But one thing I have deal with is that the bussness goal (1millon palyers in the webinar) is some times unknown. Its like starting with “my kid thought this woud be a great feature” without the map to help you.
Can the map been started from that point? In a reverse way? Or is there another aproach?
I have appointed the Challenging Requirements video for my next free hour.
Thank you!!
Eduardo.
Hi Eduardo,
there are several heuristics to get to the business goal from requirements given as technical steps. One is to pop the why stack, asking why do we need this until you get to the money. Another is to ask for an example how the feature would be useful.
There will be more on that in my upcoming book.
